Privacy Policy
Last updated September 24, 2026
The short version
- There are no accounts, and we do not ask for your name.
- If you use near me or ZIP search, your location is used for that one lookup and is not saved.
- Google Analytics and Google AdSense use cookies. They load only after you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time.
- We do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
Searches and locations. When you search, your search words go to our server so it can return results. If you use "Use my location" or enter a ZIP code, that location goes to our server for the lookup. It is sent in the body of a request, not in the web address, and we do not store it or link it to you.
Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical details of each request: your IP address, the page asked for, the time, and your browser type. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and address so we can reply and, if you sent a correction, update the directory.
Analytics and advertising data. Only if you accept cookies, Google collects the information described below.
Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used: which pages are viewed, how people arrive, what kind of device and browser they use, and roughly where in the world visitors are, which Google works out from the IP address. We use this to fix problems and decide what to improve.
Google acts on our behalf when it processes this data, under its own terms. You can stop Google Analytics on all websites with Google's browser add-on.
Google AdSense and advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads. With your consent, Google and its ad partners use cookies and similar technology to show and measure ads, and where the law allows, to show ads based on your interests and your visits to this and other sites. If you decline, the ad code does not load at all.
- Manage or turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
- Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Opt out of many companies' interest-based ads at aboutads.info.
Ads are not endorsements by us or by any police agency.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to see how our pages appear in Google Search, such as which searches lead to the site. It reports on search performance as a whole. It does not tell us who individual visitors are.
Your choices and rights
You can decline cookies, change your choice later, and use the site without giving us any personal information.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, or for correction, deletion, or restriction of it. You can also object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. Analytics and ad cookies are used only on the basis of your consent. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
If you live in California or another state with a privacy law, you can ask what personal information we hold, ask us to delete it, and opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Personalized ads served through Google can count as sharing under some state laws, and declining cookies or using Google Ads Settings turns them off.
To make a request, email contact@usapolicestations.com. Because we do not keep accounts, we may ask you to confirm that the email address is yours.
How long we keep things
Locations and searches are not stored by us. Emails are kept as long as we need them to answer you and keep the directory accurate.
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider under its own schedule. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account, and Google's policies apply to it.
Children
The site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection, but we keep the amount of personal information we hold small on purpose.
Other websites
Pages link to agency websites, maps, and other sites. Their privacy practices are their own. See also our disclaimer and terms of use.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date. If a change needs your consent, we will ask again.
